📝 3 Articles You Should Know About
This isn't exactly AI news, but it's definitely an interesting topic everyone is talking about right now, and it's got me hooked. Apple just made some huge announcements during their keynote this week. They introduced a new 15-inch MacBook Air, Mac Pro with M2 Ultra, and what I would say is their biggest news—the AR/VR headset. There's been a lot of hype around this one, as Apple is the second company to enter the "metaverse" after Meta. It seems like the general public is more receptive to Apple's vision of the metaverse compared to Meta's, which is understandable given Meta's sus reputation.
There's a lot to read about the headset and its features, but I'll give you a brief overview in one sentence.. 👇️
tldr; Features sounds cool, but not worth $3499 for the 1st Gen product
I’ve gone into more detail on my Twitter here

Apple jumps into the Metaverse
Q: Did they announce anything about AI in their Keynote?
A: They did! Although they didn’t say the word AI as much as other big tech, they did mention a few features that involve AI
AI improved autocorrect so autocorrect will finally use ducking words that you use often (FINALLY)
Identifying fields to fill out in a PDF (will make filling out digital forms so much easier)
Identifies pets to put in a folder
New Digital Persona feature that will create you in a virtual world for video conferencing
Apple announced Journal, a new app for iOS that will encourage users to keep a daily record of their lives. They want to know what you’re doing and what you’re thinking at all times

THEY WANT ALL YOUR DATA
Aims to help users log daily activities
Part of Apple’s focus on health & wellness
Utilizes machine learning for personalized suggestions
Pulls information from contacts, pictures, music, workouts, location data, etc
Not exactly the biggest news about AI for Apple
Google is basically trying to make it easier for us to find what we want in older messages or attachments
I keep a lot of info in my emails and I have to refer to the search bar in my Gmail for this. Sometimes it works, and other times I have to search deep within the dark depths of my inbox to find what I’m looking for, and sometimes I’m there for longer than I’d like to be

Speaking of useful email tools, if you forget to respond to emails, I highly recommend this tool Boomerang
You can tell it to resend you an email the morning, 4 days from now, or 2 hours from how. And it’s free. Not sponsored, it’s just one of my most used internet tools
You’ve reached the end!
