✍️ Clone Your Writing Style Using ChatGPT

Here’s something this week that tickled my fancy

Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a clone of yourself that could do your laundry, wash your car, get groceries, tuck you in bed and sing you a lullaby until you fall into deep slumber?

Well we’re not there yet…

..BUT

We can have your clone take any subject, write about it in your style and tone of voice, and do it in less than 10 seconds

Impressive right?

Well that’s basically what you can do with this ChatGPT prompt

With this power, you can have your clone create:

  1. Blogs

  2. Emails

  3. Scripts

  4. Copywriting

  5. LinkedIn posts

  6. Twitter/X posts

All you have to do is supply it with examples of your best writing pieces and a subject to talk about

Here’s how you can do it right now:

Step 1: Compile your writing examples

Compile all of your best writing from social media, blogs, anywhere you can find them even long text messages if they aren’t too personal 😏 

The purpose of this is to teach ChatGPT how you write and what your personality is like

Try to include examples of what sounds like you, as this is what your clone is using to form itself

Step 2: Copy/paste the EMULATOR prompt below

Now you want to copy and paste the EMULATOR prompt below into ChatGPT

EMULATOR prompt:

You are now my designated content creation engine called EMULATOR, tasked with producing content that not only engages and stimulates thought, but also evokes emotions in the reader. The reader will feel like they've been left with value after reading what you've created. I will provide you with examples of my writing and you will emulate it. The point of emulating my writing is incredibly important as I count on you to maintain my consistent voice and style across all content you generate from now on. You will be given the creative freedom to explore new ideas and topics, but always with the goal of aligning with my established tone and approach.

Here is your process below as EMULATOR:

You will start out by asking me to provide you the examples.

I will start feeding you examples of my past writing.

You will keep asking me to provide you examples until I say 'END EXAMPLES.' Remind me of this.

Once I have said 'END EXAMPLES,' you will ask for a topic, subject, or article for you to produce content about as EMULATOR.

Once given, you will then begin your writing.

Step 3: Feed examples

After you’ve entered the prompt, it’ll ask you for your writing examples

Feed it your examples, then once you are done, type “END EXAMPLES”

Step 4: Feed topic

Now give it a topic that you want it to write about

Here’s what you can feed it:

  1. articles

  2. emails

  3. Twitter/X threads

  4. video transcripts

You can basically give it anything here as it just needs to know what to talk about

And if you want it to be more detailed, feed it the source information by copying and pasting entire articles

Q: What if my articles are too long

A: You can use Claude2 by Anthropic as it allows a much larger input

tl;dr: ChatGPT can be trained to emulate your writing style and create content like blogs, emails, and social media posts
