These are features I wished existed a long time ago and it’s finally here

⏱️ Use Google Bard’s NEW Features to Help You Save Time in Emails & More

Google Bard added some new features I’ve always wanted and I’m ecstatic 🤯

You can use Bard as an "Ask Me Anything” hub for all your Google products including summarizing and searching through your emails, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and more

Such a time saver if you do a lot with emails

First you must active Google Workspace for Bard, here’s how:

Go to bard.google.com
Click on the puzzle extension icon
Turn on Google Workspace

Now that it’s activated, here’s some cool actually useful things you can do with this:

Ask Questions About Your Emails
Ask About All Your Documents in Google Drive
Have it Create Your Travel Itinerary w/ Google Flights & Google Hotels

Ask Questions About Your Emails

Go to bard.google.com
Make sure you’re on the right Gmail account and type “@” to access which Google products you want it to access
Select “Gmail”

Here are some example questions you can ask it about your Gmail:

Find all emails from Meta Ads
Find all emails about my upcoming flight to New York
Find all emails that mention the word "deadline" in the subject line
Find all emails that are related to the upcoming product launch
Summarize the key points of the email from my client about the new project

Ask About All Your Documents in Google Drive

Use the same “@” process as above, but instead use Google Drive

Here are some questions you can ask it about your Google Drive

Find all documents in my Google Drive that contain the word "budget".
Find all spreadsheets in my Google Drive that were created in the past month.
Find all presentations in my Google Drive that were shared with me by my manager.
Find all documents in my Google Drive that are related to the new product launch.
Summarize the key points of the document "Q1 Marketing Report.docx".

Input: @Google Drive Find all documents in my Google Drive that contain the word "budget"

Have it Create Your Travel Itinerary w/ Google Flights & Google Hotels

Figuring out all the details about your travel plans can be a pain, but Bard can easily ease the pain for you

Here are some example prompts you can use:

Give me the cheapest travel options with flights and hotels included for traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles from October 2-12
Plan a romantic getaway to Venice for me and my partner, including flights, hotel, and dinner reservations. We're interested in taking gondola rides, visiting St. Mark's Basilica, and trying some of the local seafood.
Help me plan a budget-friendly trip to Japan, including flights, hotel, and activities. I'm interested in visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, and I'm on a budget of $1,500.

Input: @Google Flights Give me the cheapest travel options with flights and hotels included for traveling from Chicago to Los Angeles from October 2-1

tl;dr: Google Bard is a new feature-rich tool for managing Google products like Gmail and Google Drive. After activating Google Workspace on bard.google.com, you can ask Bard to search and summarize emails, find specific documents in Google Drive, and even plan travel itineraries using Google Flights & Hotels. Great for saving time and staying organized.
