📃 Create EASY Spreadsheets with Google AI

Spreadsheets can be an incredibly powerful, but also a headache to try and learn

But, what if you could just talk to your spreadsheet and tell it how you want it set up?

Google has kept this a little bit hidden

But, I’m going to tell you how you can access it right now 100% free

1. Activate the feature

First we need to access Google Labs and activate the AI function for Google Sheets

1. Go here https://labs.withgoogle.com/

2. Scroll down to the “Google Workspace” section and hit “Join waitlist”

3. Wait until you are accepted

It shouldn’t take too long as I was accepted in just a few minutes

2. Open new Google Sheets project

Now here’s the easy part

Open up a new Google Sheets project

Click the new icon in the top left and tell it what you want to create

And within seconds you have a basic Google Spreadsheet project done for you!

Here are some examples of what you can create with this including the prompts

• Event Planner Schedule: Design a calendar for event planning. Include columns for event name, date, time, venue, attendees, and special notes.

• Inventory Tracker: Set up a sheet for tracking product inventory. Columns should detail product name, SKU, quantity in stock, reorder level, and supplier contact.

• Fitness Progress Tracker: Create a log for tracking daily workouts. Include date, type of workout (e.g., cardio, strength training), duration, calories burned, and any personal notes.

• Recipe Organizer: Design a spreadsheet to catalog favorite recipes. Include recipe name, ingredients, preparation time, cooking time, servings, and a link or reference to the original recipe.

• Reading List: Set up a sheet for books to read. Columns should detail book title, author, genre, start date, finish date, rating out of 10, and a short review or note.

3. Finished!

Feel free to go crazy and try some unique prompts to fit your needs

tl;dr: Google Sheets now lets you instruct its AI to create custom spreadsheets. Access it via Google Labs and craft templates with simple prompts
